About Me
I'm here to support students and work with them to develop self-confidence and the skills necessary to their success, academic and otherwise. Providing a solid support foundation is crucial to success of any kind, and it is of the utmost importance to me to be able to do that for others. I love helping people and being able to meet their individual needs so that they can reach whatever goals they have for themselves.
Education
I attended California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. I graduated in 2005 with a B.A. in philosophy. I also have some masters level experience, but I am currently searching for a program better suited to my needs.
Teaching Experience
I have over ten years experience of formal tutoring. This began with some informal experience during high school, when I learned that I really liked helping people this way. My current experience includes K-12, college, and people wanting to learn new skills. I also have some informal teaching experience as a yoga teacher. While this isn't an academic setting, this has allowed me to work with a greater variety of people with different needs and to learn how to be more flexible.
Interests
When I'm not working, I'm studying to become an herbalist and holistic nutritionist, learning foreign languages, reading health articles, practicing yoga, going swimming and on walks, and trying to practice art.
I love teaching and explaining science at every level!
